Basketball Recap: King & Queen Central Falls Despite Big Games from Amelia Moaney and Janiya Brown

King & Queen Central lost against Colonial Beach last Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The King & Queen Central Royal Tigers fell 45-38 to the Colonial Beach Drifters.

King & Queen Central's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Janiya Brown, who went 6 of 15 on her way to 17 points, and Amelia Moaney, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 boards. The dominant performance also gave Moaney a new career-high in assists (two).

King & Queen Central's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Colonial Beach, the win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

King & Queen Central didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 45-40 defeat against West Point on the 12th. As for Colonial Beach, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 49-29 victory against La Plata on the 11th.
