Volleyball Recap: Scranton Knights vs. Blue Ridge Raiders
Scranton and Blue Ridge met for a duel on Monday where Scranton had to take the L. The Scranton Knights fell just short of the Blue Ridge Raiders by a score of 3-2. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Knights of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2023.
Scranton actually scored more points across those five sets (101-90), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The match finished with set scores of 16-25, 25-20, 9-25, 25-18, 15-13.
Despite the loss, Scranton saw an underclassman step up: Tia Nallo had eight digs and two aces.
Even though they lost, Scranton was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 23 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Blue Ridge only served four.

As for Blue Ridge, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season.
Scranton will face off against Forest City at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Scranton is facing Forest City at the right time seeing as Forest City is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Blue Ridge, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-1 win against Montrose on the 2nd.
