Basketball Recap: Columbia County Christian Now 17-2 over Last 19 Games

Columbia County Christian saw some tournament action on Thursday. They walked away with a 50-43 victory over the Tri-State Christian Crusaders.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Columbia County Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Pierce Cughan, who shot 47% from the field en route to 20 points and six boards. Cughan's afternoon made it 18 games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Eli Lenker, who went 5-for-11 to rack up 18 points.

Columbia County Christian is on a roll lately: they've won 17 of their last 19 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.2 points over those games. Tri-State Christian moved to 13-12 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Columbia County Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 64-49 defeat against Genoa Christian Academy on the 7th. As for Tri-State Christian, they have also already played their next match, a 51-49 win against Greater Grace Christian Academy on the 8th.
