Basketball Recap: Washburn Comes Up Short

Washburn lost against Fort Fairfield on January 3rd and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Washburn Beavers lost 60-39 to the Fort Fairfield Tigers. The Beavers' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it five in a row.

Washburn's loss dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Fort Fairfield, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a massive bump to their 8-7 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Washburn will welcome East Grand at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Fort Fairfield, they will be playing at home against Fort Kent at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Fort Fairfield is facing Fort Kent at the right time seeing as Fort Kent is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
