Basketball Game Preview: Patton Springs Rangers vs. Paducah Dragons

Patton Springs and Paducah are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2019, but not for long. The Patton Springs Rangers will head out to square off against the Paducah Dragons at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Paducah took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Patton Springs, who comes in off a win.

Patton Springs took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Motley County with a sharp 45-25 victory. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Rangers as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Paducah was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They were outmatched by Guthrie and fell 82-27. While losing is never fun, the Dragons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1461st, while the Jaguars are ranked 681st).

Patton Springs' victory bumped their record up to 4-13. As for Paducah, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-23.

Patton Springs didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Paducah in their previous matchup on January 14th, but they still walked away with a 44-38 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Patton Springs since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
