Basketball Game Preview: Moorefield Yellow Jackets vs. Pendleton County Wildcat

Moorefield hasn't had much luck against Pendleton County recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Moorefield Yellow Jackets will head out to face off against the Pendleton County Wildcat at 6:00 p.m.

Moorefield is headed into Wednesday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Saturday. They came up short against Doddridge County, falling 58-32. While losing is never fun, the Yellow Jackets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' West Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 99th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 33rd).

Meanwhile, Pendleton County beat Union 66-54 on Friday.

Moorefield's loss dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Pendleton County, they pushed their record up to 9-8 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Moorefield lost to Pendleton County on the road by a decisive 56-42 margin in their previous matchup back in January. Can Moorefield avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
