Soccer Game Preview: Lee Williams vs. Goldwater

The Lee Williams Volunteers are taking a road trip to square off against the Goldwater Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Lee Williams is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. Everything went their way against Peoria on Tuesday as Lee Williams made off with a 5-2 win. That's two games straight that the Volunteers have won by exactly three goals.

Meanwhile, Goldwater kept a clean sheet against Coronado on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Dons with a sharp 5-0 victory. The high-scoring effort was just what the Bulldogs needed considering they were shutout in their previous game.

They hit Coronado with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Olivia Lohman (2), Sydney Rose, Amelia Lohman, and Makena Jordan.

The win got Goldwater back to even at 1-1. As for Lee Williams, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Everything went Lee Williams' way against Goldwater when the teams last played back in November of 2023, as Lee Williams made off with a 9-0 win. Will Lee Williams repeat their success, or does Goldwater have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
