Football Game Preview: Clifton vs. Kennedy

Kennedy will challenge Clifton on the road at 7:00 PM on Friday. If you head out to watch the game, expect to stay the whole 48 minutes: the MaxPreps state rankings predict a close match.

Kennedy gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener last Friday. They put the hurt on West Orange with a sharp 21-0 win. Senior Evelon Babbs, who rushed for 82 yards and 2 touchdowns, was a major factor in Kennedy's success.

Meanwhile, Clifton had a bit more than a touchdown to spare in a 28-14 victory over Northern Highlands.

Their wins lifted both teams to an identical 1-0. The Kennedy defense got after the quarterback against West Orange to the tune of 4 sacks, so Clifton's offensive line better have put in some good practice this past week in preparation for the matchup.
