Covington put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They took down the Dyersburg Trojans 31-14. Give the Chargers' offense some serious credit: that high-scoring performance was actually the fewest points they've scored all season.

Covington's victory bumped their record up to 8-0. As for Dyersburg, their defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 5-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Covington will challenge McNairy Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Dyersburg, they will face off against Westview on Friday. The Trojans will need to watch out since the Chargers have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
