Preview: Disney II Titans vs. Intrinsic Mustangs
The Disney II Titans will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Intrinsic Mustangs at 5:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.
Disney II suffered their biggest loss since November 28, 2023 on Tuesday. They suffered a rough 39-19 loss at the hands of Uplift.
Meanwhile, Intrinsic lost to Foreman on the road by a decisive 49-31 margin on Thursday. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Intrinsic in their matchups with Foreman: they've now lost four in a row.
Intrinsic's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Aniyah Wiggins, who scored 11 points, and Dezanique Riley who scored 12 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Riley has scored all season.
Disney II's defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-7. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 16.6 points per game. As for Intrinsic, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-5.
Disney II was able to grind out a solid win over Intrinsic in their previous meeting back in January of 2023, winning 38-30. Will Disney II repeat their success, or does Intrinsic have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
