Recap: Windsor Forest Knights vs. Appling County Pirates

The Windsor Forest Knights's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight defeat. The matchup between them and Appling County wasn't particularly close, with Windsor Forest falling 61-47. Windsor Forest was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Appling County apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January.

Windsor Forest lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Trinity Myers, who scored 17 points. Another player making a difference was Grace Ellington, who scored 13 points.

Leading Appling County to victory were Shamiah Barnum and Ke?niyah White. Barnum scored 20 points, while White scored 30 points. White hasn't dropped below 16 points for three straight games.

Windsor Forest dropped their record down to 5-12 with that loss, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Appling County, their win bumped their record up to 7-12.

Windsor Forest will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Vidalia at 6:00 p.m. Hopefully Vidalia focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 34 on Friday. As for Appling County, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Wayne County at 5:00 p.m. on January 27th. Wayne County will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something Appling County surely won't give up without a fight.
