The Lampeter-Strasburg Pioneers are taking a road trip to square off against the Warwick Warriors at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Lampeter-Strasburg is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.4 runs per game this season.

Warwick will be up against a hot Lampeter-Strasburg team: the squad just extended their winning streak to three. The Pioneers came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 1-0 W against Conestoga Valley. That's two games straight that the Pioneers have won by just one run.

Not much got past Devin Aponte, who gave up just three hits and racked up eight Ks to keep Conestoga Valley off the board. Aponte has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Chase Messinger was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, Warwick fell victim to Solanco and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Golden Mules. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Warwick's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Lampeter-Strasburg, they pushed their record up to 10-2 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Lampeter-Strasburg suffered a grim 16-6 defeat to Warwick when the teams last played back in April of 2022. Can the Pioneers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
