Volleyball Recap: Maxwell Comes Up Short

Maxwell lost against Cambridge back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Wildcats fell just short of the Trojans by a score of 2-1.

Maxwell started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-23, 25-18.

Kristyn Cheek paced Maxwell's offense, picking up 13 kills. Cheek got some help from Emory Christensen and her 18 assists. Christensen also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Madelyn Flock, each putting up two.

Maxwell's loss dropped their record down to 11-9. As for Cambridge, their win bumped their record up to 16-6.

Coincidentally, Maxwell and Cambridge will both be playing South Loup the next time they take the court. The Trojans will head out to face South Loup at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Wildcats will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
