Baseball Recap: Frankfort Takes a Loss

Frankfort was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They took a 10-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Benton Rangers. The Redbirds were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Rangers earlier this season, when they won 4-3.

Frankfort's record is now 2-14. As for Benton, their win ended an eight-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-16.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Frankfort will take on Lawrenceville at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Benton, they will square off against Pinckneyville at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Rangers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Panthers have averaged an impressive 6.8 runs per game this season.
