After having lost a blowout in their previous game against River Oaks, Tensas Academy was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They breezed past the Franklin Academy Cougars to the tune of 69-28. With the Chiefs ahead 35-14 at the half, the game was all but over already.

Tensas Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was John Robin out in front who posted 16 points. Another player making a difference was Colton Lardy, who earned 15 points.

With the victory, Tensas Academy broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 8-5. As for Franklin Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.

Tensas Academy and Franklin Academy will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matchups. The next time the Chiefs see the court they'll take on River Oaks at 7:00 p.m. on January 2, 2026. As for Franklin Academy, their break will end when they face Claiborne Academy at 7:00 p.m. on January 13, 2026.
