Volleyball Recap: Dominican Knights vs. Nicolet Knights

Dominican had already won four in a row and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Nicolet Knights. Dominican has seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw Nicolet, too.

Dominican had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 25-18, 25-17, 25-16.

Dominican found their leader in underclassman Gabby Johnson, who had 33 digs, two aces, and a kill. Johnson is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in the last 11 games she's played dating back to last season.

Dominican was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 19 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Nicolet only served seven.

Despite the loss, Nicolet still got an impressive performance from Andrea Krivomazoz, who had 13 digs. What's more, Krivomazoz also racked up no blocks, the mostshe's had since back in September.

Dominican is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 19-9 record this season. As for Nicolet, their loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 10-15.

As of now, neither Dominican nor Nicolet have any future games scheduled.
