Basketball Recap: Saint Viator Comes Up Short

Saint Viator played a tough contest on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by the Marist RedHawks 51-12. The Lions were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 29-4.

Ava Garcia was Saint Viator's leading scorer, having posted five points. Garcia also led the team in rebounds with seven.

Saint Viator has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matchups, which has put a noticeable dent in their 18-13 record this season. As for Marist, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 22-8 record this season.

Coming up, Saint Viator will square off against Amundsen at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Marist does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
