Basketball Recap: Glenn Victorious

Glenn won the last time they faced East Surry, and Zyire Murphy did his part to make sure it happened again. The Glenn Bobcats snuck past the East Surry Cardinals with a 68-64 victory on Saturday thanks in part to Murphy, who posted 22 points and six rebounds. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in assists (four).

Rain Booker was another key player, putting up nine points and six rebounds. He is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for four straight games.

Glenn's record is now 3-6. As for East Surry, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.

Glenn and North Moore will round out the year against one another at at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Glenn has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games. As for East Surry, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on North Surry at 7:45 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
