Decatur had already won nine in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.1 runs) and they went ahead and made it ten on Saturday. They walked away with a 5-2 win over the Columbia Central Golden Eagles.

Decatur pushed their record up to 11-3 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.6 runs over those games. As for Columbia Central, they moved to 8-2 with that defeat, which also ended their eight-game winning streak.

Coincidentally, Decatur and Columbia Central will both be playing Olivet the next time they take the field. The Raiders will host the Eagles at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Golden Eagles will play them later in the day, at 9:00 p.m.
