Softball Recap: Scurry-Rosser Takes a Loss

Friday just wasn't the day for Scurry-Rosser's offense. They fell just short of the Maypearl Panthers by a score of 1-0 on Friday. The Wildcats' loss continues a trend for the team, making it seven in a row.

Scurry-Rosser saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alanah Greene, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Scurry-Rosser's defeat dropped their record down to 7-14. As for Maypearl, they pushed their record up to 11-8-2 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

Scurry-Rosser and Maypearl could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. Scurry-Rosser (ranked 657th) will meet Blooming Grove (ranked 219th) at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Maypearl will challenge Grandview at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday down 503 places (528 vs. 25).
