Basketball Recap: Germantown Christian Comes Up Short

Germantown Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the Dominion Academy Sabers and fell 63-16. The Conquerors were probably out for revenge after losing 67-34 to them when the teams met back in February, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Despite the loss, Germantown Christian still got an impressive performance from Grace Smith, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 15 boards. That was a full 62.5% of Germantown Christian's points, marking the fifth time in a row she's posted more than a third of the team's points.

Even though they lost, Germantown Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive rebounds. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their offensive board total in three consecutive matches.
