Baseball Recap: Three Straight Home Wins for Fallbrook

Fallbrook never let their opponents score on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Vista Panthers by a score of 5-0. The victory continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now won five in a row.

Not much got past Evan Thomas, who gave up just a hit and racked up nine Ks to keep Vista off the board. Thomas also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Fallbrook is 6-2 when he allows at most one earned run, but 7-9 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Fallbrook saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Teague Lucy, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and one double.

Fallbrook hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Vista struck out nine times.

Fallbrook pushed their record up to 13-11 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Vista, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-8.

Fallbrook will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Panthers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
