Softball Recap: Wilcox RVT Wins Going Away Against Platt RVT

Wilcox RVT barely beat Platt RVT the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Wildcats were the clear victors by a 13-2 margin over the Panthers on Friday. The Wildcats haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Chloe Enger made a big impact no matter where she played. She struck out 15 batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in May of 2024. She was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.

In other batting news, Sam OlechowSki was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3. Those two stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Ashley Stimpson, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in two of her four plate appearances.

Wilcox RVT always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .543. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .528 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.

Wilcox RVT's win bumped their record up to 3-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wilcox RVT will host Windham RVT at 11:00 a.m. on Monday. As for Platt RVT, they will take on Harding at 3:45 p.m. on Monday.
