First Baptist had to skate by with only a two-point margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 54-point drubbing they dealt Owatonna Christian on Tuesday. The Crusaders blew past the Sabres, posting a 75-21 victory. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 47-5.

Justin Ondari had an outrageously good game as he went 10-for-15 on his way to 22 points. Those 22 points gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jon Anaya, who posted nine points and five steals.

First Baptist smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 23 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in nine consecutive contests dating back to last season.

First Baptist's record is now 2-0.

Coincidentally, First Baptist and Owatonna Christian will both be playing Prior Lake Christian the next time they take the court. The Sabres will head out to face the Royals at 6:45 p.m. on December 4, while the Crusaders will host them at 6:45 p.m. on January 30, 2026.
