Basketball Recap: Aquinas Extends Winning Streak to Ten

Aquinas won the last time they faced West Salem, and Samantha Davis did her part to make sure it happened again. The Aquinas Blugolds put the hurt on the West Salem Panthers with a sharp 63-40 victory on Friday thanks in part to Davis, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 16 boards. She has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last seven times she's played.

Emma Dobbins was another key player, putting up eight points and three steals. What's more, she also racked up two assists, the most she's had since back in February of 2024.

The win was the tenth in a row for Aquinas, bringing their record for this year to 11-3. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 26.8 points. As for West Salem, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 11-4.

Aquinas has already played their next matchup (against Sparta), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. West Salem will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Menomonie at 7:00 p.m.
