Soccer Game Preview: Amherst County vs. Brookville

Amherst County had to skate by with only a one-goal margin when they last took the pitch, which might have inspired the four-goal drubbing they dealt Heritage on Friday. The Lancers never let the Pioneers get on the board and left with a 4-0 win. That looming 4-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Amherst County yet this season.

Meanwhile, Brookville fell victim to Glass and their airtight defense on Friday. They came up short against the Hilltoppers, falling 5-0. Brookville have struggled against Glass recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Amherst County now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Brookville, their defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 2-2-1.
