Basketball Recap: Keshequa Beats Arkport Central for Their Fifth Straight Win

Keshequa came tearing into Wednesday's game with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 38.5 points) and they left with even more momentum. They took down the Arkport Central Bluejays 64-49. Given the Indians' advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 19th, while the Bluejays are ranked 216th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Keshequa's victory bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Arkport Central, they moved to 5-4 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Keshequa will venture away from home to face off against Dansville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Keshequa knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five contests -- so hopefully Dansville likes a good challenge. As for Arkport Central, it'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Arkport Central Bluejays face off against the Friendship Golden Eagles at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Arkport Central is facing Friendship at the right time seeing as Friendship is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
