McMinnville is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Oregon's top teams: Sherwood, who was ranked 12th at the time (McMinnville was ranked 19th). The Grizzlies came up short against the Bowmen on Friday, falling 10-2. The Grizzlies' defeat signaled the end of their nine-game winning streak.

Meanwhile, Glencoe came up short against Liberty on Friday and fell 10-6. The Crimson Tide have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Glencoe saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lucas Culbertson, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.

Glencoe's loss dropped their record down to 8-15. As for McMinnville, their defeat dropped their record down to 18-5.

McMinnville came out on top in a nail-biter against Glencoe in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, sneaking past 6-5. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Grizzlies since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
