Soccer Game Preview: Princeton vs. Spring Creek

The Princeton Bulldogs will take on the Spring Creek Gators at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Princeton has six straight wins, Spring Creek has four straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the pitch.

While Princeton's victory against Goldsboro wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Princeton had just enough and edged out Goldsboro 2-1. Given Princeton's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 92nd, while Goldsboro are ranked 359th), the result on Thursday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Macie Allison was the driving force of Princeton's attack as she scored both of Princeton's goals, bringing her season total up to 16 goals.

Meanwhile, Spring Creek came up short against Eastern Wayne on Thursday, falling 5-2.

Princeton pushed their record up to 7-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 12 goals over those three matches. As for Spring Creek, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5-2.

Princeton took their win against Spring Creek in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 9-0. Will Princeton repeat their success, or does Spring Creek has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
