Baseball Recap: Greece Arcadia Comes Up Short

Greece Arcadia couldn't beat Brockport on Monday even though they stacked four runs on them in the seventh inning. The Titans took a 10-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Blue Devils. The Titans' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it nine in a row.

Greece Arcadia got a good showing from Andrew Reichert, who tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Reichert has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one walk in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Greece Arcadia saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alex Jussen, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one RBI. Another was Christopher Walter, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Greece Arcadia's loss dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Brockport, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-5 record this season.

Brockport will face off against Spencerport at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Blue Devils are facing the Rangers at the right time seeing as the Rangers are stuck on a four-game losing streak. Greece Arcadia will be paying especially close attention to Brockport's game: after Brockport faces off against Spencerport, they'll take on Greece Arcadia again at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
