Baseball Game Preview: Temecula Valley Golden Bears vs. Murrieta Valley Nighthawks

For the second straight game, Temecula Valley will face off against Murrieta Valley. The Golden Bears will venture away from home to square off against the Nighthawks at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday.

Temecula Valley took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They skirted past Murrieta Valley 6-5.

Stafford Johnson was excellent, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March. Taden Krogsgaard was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base.

Temecula Valley hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their strikeout total in three consecutive matches.

Temecula Valley's win bumped their record up to 14-11. As for Murrieta Valley, they dropped their record down to 7-18 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.
