Volleyball Recap: Wawasee Takes a Loss

Wawasee was the 3-1 winner over Clinton Christian when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Warriors came up short against the Couriers on Monday, falling 3-0. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Wawasee was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Clinton Christian work for it, especially in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-13, 26-24.

Wawasee's offense was headlined by Lora Gonzalez and Jadyn Klenke, who picked up five kills apiece. They got some help from Hadley Allen and her 18 assists. She also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Addison Delagrange, racking up three apiece.

Wawasee's loss dropped their record down to 3-17. As for Clinton Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-3-1 record this season.

Wawasee is taking a road trip to face off against Warsaw at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday. As for Clinton Christian, they will host Granger Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
