Casady was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 79-76 heartbreaker at the hands of the Heritage Hall Chargers. One positive for the Cyclones, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Several Cyclones players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was James Elder, who dropped a double-double with 19 points and 17 rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Elder a new career-high in assists (eight). Sam Edwards was another key player, going 7-for-9 en route to 19 points and five assists.

Even though they lost, Casady was working as a unit and finished the game with 25 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Casady's loss dropped their record down to 2-19. As for Heritage Hall, their victory bumped their record up to 7-10.

Casady has already played their next match, a 74-69 defeat against Harding Prep on the 11th. As for Heritage Hall, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 60-47 loss against Crossings Christian on the 10th.
