Volleyball Recap: Melba Mustangs vs. Malad Dragons
With a playoff game on the line, Melba rose to the challenge on Saturday. They blew past the Malad Dragons 3-0. The Mustangs are really starting to get used to good results now that the team has won 13 straight.
Melba never let Malad on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-19, 25-22.
Tariah Carter paced Melba's offense, picking up 19 kills. Carter got some help from
Ellie Johnson and her 36 assists.
Mackenzie Rose controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.
Melba has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 22 of their last 23 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 33-4-2 record this season. As for Malad, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 26-8.
