Basketball Recap: Poudre Impalas vs. Palmer Terrors

Poudre had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They came up short against the Palmer Terrors on Thursday, falling 71-47. If the Impalas were looking for revenge after losing 55-47 to the Terrors when the teams met back in December of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Despite the loss, Poudre still got an impressive performance from Brody Brubaker, who shot 50% from the field to rack up 10 points and eight rebounds. Another player making a difference was Taylor Cornell-Nosaka, who posted seven points and three steals.

Palmer found their leader in freshman Bo Pecic, who went 8-for-11 en route to 21 points. Tule Edwards was another key player, shooting 71% from the field on his way to 13 points and six boards.

Poudre wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 53-41 loss against Xaverian on the 5th. As for Palmer, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 70-41 defeat against Cherry Creek on the 5th.
