Baseball Game Preview: Orestimba Warriors vs. Summerville Bears

The Orestimba Warriors will face off against the Summerville Bears at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Orestimba and three for Summerville.

On Saturday, Orestimba came up short against Le Grand and fell 11-7.

Donovan Torres was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-4. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Ray Montes, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one RBI.

Meanwhile, Summerville didn't have quite enough to beat Palo Verde Valley on Saturday and fell 6-4.

Luke Larson made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and one double. What's more, he posted three hits, the most he's had since back in May of 2024.

Summerville's loss dropped their record down to 2-8-1. As for Orestimba, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-8.

Orestimba might still be hurting after the 9-1 loss they got from Summerville in their previous meeting back in March of 2024. Can Orestimba avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
