Fowler extends home winning streak to six

Recap: Fowler Grizzlies vs. Hoehne Farmers

The Fowler Grizzlies entered their tilt with the Hoehne Farmers with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Fowler walked away with a 42-29 win over Hoehne on Friday. That's another feather in the cap for Fowler, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.

Leading Fowler to victory were Hagen McCuistion and Gage Gottbehuet. McCuistion scored 11 points along with five steals, while Gottbehuet dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points McCuistion has scored all season.

When it comes to explaining why Hoehne lost, one person who can't be blamed is Levon Bachicha. Despite the final result, he scored nine points along with ten rebounds. Bobby Terry was another key contributor, scoring four points along with six rebounds and three blocks.

Fowler pushed their record up to 8-2 with that win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Hoehne, they now have a losing record at 4-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fowler won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Rocky Ford at 11:00 a.m. on January 13th. Rocky Ford will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Colorado Rankings (they are ranked 297th, while Fowler is ranked 112th). As for Hoehne, they will head out on the road to square off against Walsenburg at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Walsenburg and Hoehne are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
