Volleyball Recap: Hardin Valley Academy Comes Up Short

Hardin Valley Academy extended their losing streak to three on Tuesday, dropping them down to 12-10. They fell 3-1 to the Farragut Admirals. Hawks fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Admirals since Tuesday.

As for Farragut, they now have a winning record of 9-8. The win continues a trend for them in their matchups with Hardin Valley Academy: they've now won three in a row.

Farragut's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Hailey Aiken led the charge by getting 15 digs and three assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Teagan Williams, who had nine digs and two aces.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Hardin Valley Academy is set to take on their familiar foe Bearden at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Farragut will challenge rival Karns at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
