Joliet Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 15th straight loss. They took an 8-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Plainfield East Bengals. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bengals this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-6 on Monday.

Andrew Nixon put in work while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. What's more, he gave up only two walks, the fewest he's had over his last three contests. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two doubles and one run.

In other batting news, Michael Stokes and Fynn Bernhard stepped up to the plate in a big way. Stokes went 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI, while Bernhard went 2-for-4 with three RBI and one stolen base.

Joliet Central's defeat dropped their record down to 4-18. As for Plainfield East, their win ended a 16-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 6-16-1.
