Softball Recap: Santiago Cavaliers vs. Anaheim Colonists
While it was Santiago who put the first runs on the board on Wednesday, it was Anaheim who put up more. The Cavaliers fell just short of the Colonists by a score of 5-4. The Cavaliers haven't had much luck with the Colonists recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.
Brenda M made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with three RBI and two doubles.
Santiago's loss dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Anaheim, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 11-1.
Santiago and Anaheim should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. The Cavaliers will square off against Western at 3:00 p.m. on Friday with a big rank advantage (432 vs. 955). Meanwhile, Anaheim (ranked 262nd) will meet Savanna (ranked 960th) at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
