Preview: Glens Falls Indians vs. Scotia-Glenville Tartans

The Glens Falls Indians will head out on the road to square off against the Scotia-Glenville Tartans at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Glens Falls is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road.

Even though Glens Falls has not done well against Amsterdam recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. Glens Falls snuck past Amsterdam with a 51-45 victory.

Glens Falls got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Frances McTiernan out in front who scored 12 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points McTiernan has scored all season. Carolyn Lunt was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.

Scotia-Glenville suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Thursday. Their rough 62-36 loss to Queensbury might stick with them for a while. While losing is never fun, Scotia-Glenville can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 366th, while Queensbury is ranked 44th).

Glens Falls' victory bumped their record up to 9-4. As for Scotia-Glenville, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-5 record this season.

Glens Falls strolled past Scotia-Glenville when the teams last played back in February of 2023 by a score of 54-40. The rematch might be a little tougher for Glens Falls since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
