Basketball Game Preview: Coahulla Creek Colts vs. Ridgeland Panthers

The Coahulla Creek Colts will take on the Ridgeland Panthers in a tournament on Monday. Ridgeland took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Coahulla Creek, who comes in off a win.

On Saturday, Coahulla Creek took their matchup with ease, bagging a 62-34 win over LaFayette. The Colts have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 21 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Ridgeland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting Chattooga an easy 67-42 victory. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 371st, while the Indians are ranked 166th).

The win made it two in a row for Coahulla Creek and bumps their season record up to 7-4. As for Ridgeland, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-10.

Coahulla Creek couldn't quite finish off Ridgeland in their previous meeting back in February and fell 54-52. Can Coahulla Creek avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
