Muhammad Ali was known for his amazing hand and foot speed.

But it's doubtful he ever was faster in a sprint than his grandson Biaggio Walsh.

The Bishop Gorman (Las Vegas) junior tailback, the fastest player on a very quick team — the No. 1 squad in the nation no less — rushed for a career-high 211 yards and scored three touchdowns, leading the host Gaels to a resounding 52-13 win over Long Beach Poly (Calif.) on Friday night.

Walsh, a 5-foot-10, 182-pounder whose middle name is Ali, scored on a 40-yard run to open the fourth quarter as Gorman opened up a 38-13 lead. Then quarterback Tate Martell, a Texas A&M commit, accounted for his third touchdown of the night, a 3-yard run, to put it away.

Gorman (4-0) spoiled the Poly quarterback debut of highly touted Malik Henry, who was announced eligible by the California Interscholastic Federation this week after transferring from IMG Academy in Florida over the summer.

Gorman opened the scoring on an 11-yard touchdown pass from Martell to tight end Brevin Jordan to complete a seven-play drive. An interception led to a 10-0 Gorman lead before three-star recruit Henry entered the game for Poly.

The Florida State commit's first pass in the first quarter went for a 64-yard touchdown to Jack Jones and Poly looked right back in it, down just 10-7.

But the Gaels and Walsh, timed at 4.45 in the 40-yard dash this summer, responded with a big second quarter. The fleet junior rushed for a 7-yard score, making it 17-7 midway through the second before his 72-yard scamper set up a 1-yard Martell touchdown, giving Gorman a 24-7 halftime edge. Walsh likely should have taken it in himself, but he slowed as he approached the end zone and was tackled.

Henry added a second TD pass, a 46-yard strike to Jones, for Poly's other score.
