DeKalb is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Kaneland just ended the team's seven-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 58-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Knights.

Meanwhile, Sycamore came tearing into Monday's game with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Indians with a sharp 65-40 victory.

Sycamore is also on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season. As for DeKalb, their loss dropped their record down to 16-6.

Everything came up roses for DeKalb against Sycamore in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, as the team secured a 63-24 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for DeKalb since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
