Soccer Recap: Chillicothe Takes a Loss

After flying high against Cameron last Tuesday, Chillicothe came back down to earth. The Hornets came up short against the Kirksville Tigers on Monday, falling 5-1. The loss continues a trend for Chillicothe in their meetings with Kirksville: they've now lost six in a row.

Chillicothe's defeat dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Kirksville, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chillicothe will take on Father Tolton at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Kirksville, they will face off against Battle at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Kirksville will be up against Battle's rather soft defense (which has allowed 6.42 goals per match), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
