Cienega and Canyon del Oro are an even 4-4 against one another since September of 2015, but not for long. The Bobcats will square off against the Dorados at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Cienega is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games.

It was a proper cat-fight when Cienega duked it out with Desert View on Wednesday. The Bobcats were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Jaguars.

Cienega never let Desert View on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 26-24, 25-19.

Meanwhile, Canyon del Oro unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-match winning streak on Wednesday. They came up short against Maricopa, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Dorados have suffered since September 15th.

Cienega's victory bumped their record up to 9-5. As for Canyon del Oro, their loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 11-11.

Cienega suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Canyon del Oro in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. Can the Bobcats avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
