Volleyball Recap: Eden Peterson Key Part of Team Effort in Cougars Win

Cross County lost to Aquinas back in October of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The Cougars walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Monarchs.

Cross County's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Eden Peterson, who had five digs and three aces. Peterson has been hot, having also posted 13 or more assists the last eight times she's played. Another player making a difference was Ella Cramer, who had nine digs and one assist.

When it comes to explaining why Aquinas lost, don't look at Marissa Miratsky. Despite the final result, she had eight digs.

Cross County has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season. As for Aquinas, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-17.

Cross County didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Humphrey-Lindsay on the 4th. As for Aquinas, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Pender on the 4th.
