It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Annapolis Christian Academy ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They snuck past the Incarnate Word Academy Angels with a 47-41 victory. The win was familiar territory for the Warriors, who have now won six matchups in a row.

Annapolis Christian Academy didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Darrian Wallace and Oren Prime. Another thorn in Incarnate Word Academy's side was Jack Martinez, who picked up a sack and made 11 total tackles.

Annapolis Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Incarnate Word Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-3.

Coming up, Annapolis Christian Academy will head out to take on Allen Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Warriors will be up against the Rams' rather soft defense (which has allowed 50.14 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Incarnate Word Academy, they will host St. Augustine at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The contest will give the Angels their first taste of in-conference action this season.
