Volleyball Recap: Liberal Comes Up Short

Liberal lost against Osceola back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Bulldogs fell 3-1 to the Indians. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Liberal was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Osceola work for it, especially in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 26-24, 19-25, 25-11.

Ally Barton paced Liberal's offense, picking up 16 kills. Barton got some help from Sadie Meadows and her 26 assists. Ava Garrett controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Osceola was led to victory by Kylee Guerin and Jadyn Guerin. Kylee had 11 digs and four aces, while Jadyn had 16 digs and one assist. Jadyn is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last seven games she's played.

Liberal's defeat dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Osceola, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-4-3 record this season.

Liberal didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Golden City on the 16th. As for Osceola, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Skyline on the 16th.
