On Friday, St. Joseph got the win against Lakeshore by a conclusive 35-14. The result was nothing new for the Bears, who have now won three contests by 21 points or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Portage Northern got themselves on the board against Gull Lake on Friday, but Gull Lake never followed suit. They blew past the Blue Devils, posting a 48-0 victory. That looming 48-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Huskies yet this season.

St. Joseph now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Portage Northern, their win bumped their record up to 4-1.

St. Joseph strolled past Portage Northern in their previous matchup back in October of 2024 by a score of 48-34. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was the Huskies' Vaughnzell Tyus, who rushed for 316 yards and a pair of scores while picking up 12.2 yards per carry.
